Proverbs a Day

Growing up, in the midst of going in and out of different churches, one adage remained consistent — if you need a book to reset your heart, start in Proverbs. It’s easy to skip past the book of Proverbs; sometimes it can seem like once you’ve read one, you’ve read them all. But there’s certainly a reason these chapters have endured the test of time, from the very origins of history all the way to everyday conversations. So for a month, I committed my mornings to reading a chapter of Proverbs and recording the pieces that most stood out to me. While this is a temporary series of posts (only for the month of October), my hope is that you might find a new proverb that resonates for you, too.
